Shared energy is a common cause

Fastighetsägarna AB, along with several other stakeholders, have sent an open letter to Ebba Busch. They are now appealing to the government to introduce an alternative regulation that protects shared electricity in multi-family houses, thereby giving households a greater opportunity to actively participate in future energy communities.
With IMD (individual measurement and billing for electricity), sometimes also called shared electricity, individual electricity grid subscriptions in a property are replaced with a single one for everyone living in the property. The major benefit is that a shared electricity grid fee is divided among all the residents.
It is Fastighetsägarna, Bostadsrätterna, Riksbyggen, HSB, and Sveriges Allmännytta who, in a joint statement, hope to persuade Energy and Business Minister Ebba Busch (KD) to not follow the Swedish Energy Market Inspectorate's (Ei) stance on IMD solutions and energy sharing, but instead make exceptions, as other EU countries have done, to facilitate the process.
