GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT THE LOCAL GRID

There are two ways to allow energy sharing in the local grid: 

• Virtual Power Grid energy is distributed among the members of the energy community in the general municipal electricity grid.

• Settlement is done with the local grid operator's smart meters (must be bidirectional).

• A measurement value is stored over a given time interval.

 

Your own local energy grid is called a microgrid, DC grid, or low-voltage grid, where electricity is shared between buildings and nearby properties. It can be set up as a supplementary electricity grid, i.e., a private grid where each building is also connected to the public grid. A private electricity grid is also when buildings in the same property connect behind a common connection to the public electricity grid.
